Aged 16-21?

Need to improve your basic skills? Would like extra support with your college course, help with revision or a second chance to improve your GCSEs? Then GATE could be for you!

Grange Access to Education is a lively education project designed to meet the educational needs of Liverpool 's care leavers. Working as part of small groups or on a one-to-one basis with a tutor, the young people who access GATE develop their own individual action plans and work on topics specific to the area of education, training or employment they want to improve.

Current students are working in a variety of areas. Some are working towards Entry Level certificates in literacy and numeracy. Some are studying GCSE Maths and English and others are improving their basic skills to help with childcare, drama and construction qualifications.

The wonderful thing about GATE is that each course is designed specifically for you. It can work alongside whatever course, training or job you have and focus on your needs as an individual.

To find out how GATE could support you, click on CONTACT US or ask your Connexions adviser to fill out a referral form.
